Evaluation of Leadership Competencies among Nurse Managers

Objectives: The study aims at assessing the level of leadership competencies and finding significant differences in these with regard to nurse managers’ age, gender, qualification, years experience. Materials methods: A descriptive analytical design that is initiated for period October 1st 2021 June 1st, 2022. sample includes 260 managers was selected by convenient sampling method (non-probability sample). setting teaching hospitals Baghdad city. Leadership Competencies Scale used this study, which comprised 26 items distributed on four dimensions: 5 Leading Change; 7 leading nurses; 6 Results Driven; Communications. data have been collected through utilization self-administrative report as a mean collection. Statistical analyses were conducted using statistical package social science (IBM SPSS Statistics) version 26.0. Results: found show good regarding change style (M±SD= 21.23±2.664), subordinate 29.61±3.863), focus result 25.31±3.075), communication 21.60±2.491). No reported Conclusions: Based finding, concludes mangers are showing change, style, results-focused, based style. Recommendations: recommended conducting explore influence management subordinates job satisfaction patients’ health care setting.
